The residents of Sangonera La Verde will not endure heavy traffic of vehicles passing from the old road to Mazarrón (RM-603) for linking with the motorway MU-30 (El Palmar-Sewell).
Those close to 20,000 cars and largely trucks that travel cover today without access to the hamlet, with the opening-this morning, two new sections of road.
Councilman Jose Rios, a resident of this hamlet, this morning visited the new artery and stressed the absorptive capacity of the same traffic, thus reducing the movement of vehicles in Sangonera La Verde and, in particular, its Main Street .
It also will improve the safety of students and access Sangonera IES Torre Guil and municipal property of Majal Blanco.
Also attended the opening of the road the Deputy Mayor of Planning and Urban Design, Fernando Berberena, managing director Urbamusa, Roque Ortiz, and the president of the Municipal Board of Sangonera La Verde, Juan Jimenez.
The road which has now entered service with a length of 1 km and an investment of 3,081,000 euros.
This project has been funded by the Local Investment Fund, the City of Murcia and the Regional Government.
It has a total width of 22 feet, occupied by two lanes in each direction, separated by a median of 2.50 meters.
This is landscaped with artificial turf and alignment, each 7 meters of palm trees "Arecastrum romanzoffianum" and lit by double-arm columns 12 meters tall.
Moreover, the infrastructure, the company run by brothers Schillings, complete with a bike lane.
In addition to connecting the road with the Highway Mazarrón-Sewer El Palmar, the new infrastructure represents a substantial and integral to the movement and accessibility throughout the hamlet and surrounding areas.
Along with neighboring Sangonera La Verde, the main direct beneficiaries of the entry into service of this road will be the workers and visitors of the Industrial West Integrated Transport Centre and expected medium-term development of tertiary land in the area, as provided by the development of General Plan
The section that has entered into service today, along with Alternative Sangonera La Verde-performance of regional and funded in cooperation between the Government of the Region and the Municipality of Murcia, which opened last April, a total length of 4.9 kilometers and an investment of 14.7 million euros.
East and North Coastal Belt
In the last two months of county road communications have experienced a significant improvement with the addition of two major works.
