The Local Observatory The Asomada make a radiograph of the urban reality of the town (28/10/2009)

Murcia City Council is launching the Centre of the Municipality's Local Asomada.

This is a project for the creation of an observatory to study the evolution of the urban municipality to anticipate the change process and problems arising from new social and economic realities.

Also, will become an effective tool to improve municipal performance in the context of Cohesion Policy and the Urban Audit project of the European Commission.

The Governing Board approved the contract specification for service management of this observatory, which is cofinanced by the European Regional Development Fund, under the Urban Initiative, and included in the Operational Programme Feder.

This observatory will analyze the economic and labor market of the municipality under the MICRO project within the Community Initiative EQUAL.

Also, will the design of the external evaluation of the project "Urban district of the Holy Spirit" and the study of evolution through the zone of action.

The Centre Local Municipality Asomada be responsible for the analysis of productive activity and labor market of the municipality, as well as its position on other areas and cities, explore social and demographic processes, attending social cohesion and quality of life, analyze and evaluate the environment and its changes and trends, access to services, mobility, development of civic culture and nature protection.

In addition, analyze the associative network, air quality, water, patterns of mobility, energy use and supply of culture and leisure.

The project includes annual reporting on the town socioeconomic studies on the evolution and changes in the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit in relation to the city, and regular updating of a web site where you can observe the evolution of this initiative.

This project is coordinated by the European Programmes Municipal, directed Fátima Barnuevo.

Once the initiative, the City will assume the continuation and evolution.

The Consistory will invest 116,000 euros, as approved by the Governing Board.

The seat of Centre is on the premises of European Programmes Service, the Local Development Agency.
