Analysis of the strengthening of public institutions in Aymaraes (27/10/2009)

Responsible for Cooperation meets with Humanism and Democracy Foundation and CEDES of Peru to discuss the development project is underway in that province

Councilmember SEIS, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, Remigio Lopez, has been delegated to "Humanism and Democracy Foundation" and the executive director of the Center for Social Development (CEDES) in Peru, Enrique Alfaro Casas.

The reception was held in the afternoon yesterday at the youth center 585 meters square, located in the Plaza Toledo.

The Peruvian institution is carrying out the development cooperation project funded by the city of Murcia, entitled "Improving capabilities of local governance for the promotion of the territory (province Aymaraes-Peru)."

The meeting served to analyze the needs of the area and the development of that project, a project that is aimed primarily at strengthening public institutions in that province through seminars for public officials and employees, to small and medium businesses entrepreneurs, as well as the implementation of computer applications.

Through the public call for development cooperation projects are covering this type of projects are as important as the other, to enable institutions to advance the decentralization process envisaged by the Peruvian Constitution.

All these types of projects and programs can make a direct and indirect infrastructure to progress in designing more efficient, economically programs which foster development in the productive out more and better resources.

With respect to CEDES, it is noted that is a civil non-profit that has been working since 1992 for the welfare of the poorest populations of Apurimac.

Is registered in the register of associations of Apurimac and in the national registry of nongovernmental development organizations, recipients of international technical cooperation in Peru.

CEDES is a regional institution, and is composed of professionals and persons of high social motivation.

The main lines of action of CEDES, are:

Building local and regional.

Production and marketing.

Microfinance and business advice.

Environment and ecotourism.

Training for rural leaders.
