The mayor considered "priority" to serve the public administration "more transparent, agile and efficient" (27/10/2009)

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, considered "priority" and task "urgent" that the various administrations to adopt appropriate mechanisms for institutions to become "transparent, agile and effective."

The City of Murcia has progressed along this path and in recent years has been very significant steps to improve the service offered to residents of the municipality.

Other significant changes made to the Local Administration in recent years are:

- Implementation of a queuing system in the Statistical Office which allows the steps (high and low register, changes of address, etc.) By appointment through the Internet or by streamlining procedures.

- Presentation by electronic means to expedite the licensing of works and activities through a collaborative agreement between the City Council, professional associations of Industrial Engineers, Telecommunication Engineers and Architects, in addition to the Promoters Association.

- Access to the General Plan and map information through the web portal of the Planning Department.

- Agreement with the Land Registry General Directorate for cadastral management by the municipality.

- Last week the City Council became the first town in Spain to join the accreditation seal car telematics, which will facilitate procedures for citizens, through collaboration with the Provincial Department of Transport.
