The CHS recover the Rambla del Puerto de la Cadena (25/10/2009)

The Official State Bulletin (BOE) has published the announcement of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) on the invitation of the Draft Environmental Recovery of the Rambla del Puerto as it passes through the hamlet of El Palmar (Murcia), which comprise section of 3.1 km (boundary with the City Sanitaria Virgen de la Arrixaca and the Health Campus of the University of Murcia), which will be held environmental restoration of the river and a socio-recreational.

The total amount of the performance, which is co-financed by ERDF, is expected to amount to EUR 1,425,275.18 and the contract period is 13 months.

The CHS is planning to undertake the environmental recovery of this channel in the stretch between the vicinity of the sale of La Paloma and MU-603 road, which is a priority to restore the area, removing accumulated waste, implement environmental improvement and landscaping of Rambla, revegetation of its surroundings and the possible relevance of space for recreational activities (hiking, cycling, etc.).

The design of the proceedings will be made to integrate them and make them compatible with other existing activities, thus contributing to an improvement in the management of existing uses in the area.

The CHS will undertake two areas of entertainment.

The first is a circuit Biosalud, with elements of exercise and posters.

The other will consist of a picnic and games area, equipped with tables and seats, pergolas, bowling alleys huertanos regulations and chess tables and ping-pong.

In addition, the basin organization also aims to promote the use of certain areas annexed to the promenade and leisure facilities, providing them with rustic furniture made by picnic tables, wooden benches, litter bins, bicycle racks, etc..

These areas are protected by a perimeter fence and shall conform with native plant species, using the tall plant to give adequate shade.

Also build a path that is geared to social and recreational use with the possibility of sporting activities such as hiking and biking.

The path will run with minimal earthmoving possible to open under the defined route, with subsequent compaction, spreading and leveling the land on which it is installed.

The tour will be winding to achieve a greater travel of pedestrians and cyclists, providing a design in keeping with the playful nature of this path.

To improve access to the promenade around the CHS execute the works necessary step and repair existing ones, directing the promenade where necessary.

In addition, repair the service road, considering the places where flooding occurs in the same and rain events.
