"Infrastructure investment in the Planning Department snipped suffer over 70 percent," according to the PSOE (13/10/2009)

Note from PSOE:

Socialist councilors Alfonso Navarro and Marcos Ros after an analysis of the implementation of the 2008 budget of the Planning Department reported a slump in investment because of poor budget management of the PP and the lack of liquidity of the City

Councillors and Frames socialites Alfonso Navarro Ros reported that analysis of the settlement of the executed budget in 2008 by the Planning Department does not leave room for doubt.

Investments in infrastructure, so necessary to the functioning of the municipality have been virtually paralyzed in its execution, achieving a 29.5% limited run, a plummeting 70% compared to the initial forecast.

The budget that was initially allocated to management was 162,295,777 euros and only implemented the amount of € 47,917,751.

"This is due to poor financial management of the City of Murcia, as well as lack of liquidity," Navarro complaint.

"There are key works that have been totally paralyzed and still do not know what rate they will run," says Ross, who says the most important crop takes almost 25 million forecast and recognized as net obligation for the implementation of infrastructure works (roads and collectors), which was run only at 1.1 million, representing 4.4% on a ridiculous schedule.

Essential works halted

This means that important works such as road-Beniaján Fica, conditioning the Malecon, Cobatillas variant, the links at the Campo de Murcia with the C-3319 or the connection between Sangonera La Verde and La Seca have been left unfinished 2008 and, at this time, late in 2009, still do not know the date of execution of such projects.

Likewise, continues the mayor of the PSOE, has happened with another batch of 18.8 million euros provided (implemented only 0.9 million) to carry out such important works as the Special Plan Murcia Country, sanitation collectors El Esparragal, Los Dolores or Barriomar, or the collectors Sangonera La Verde and La Seca, or between the pool and Algezares.

Nothing for relocation and industrial land

It has also been particularly significant, Ros stresses not so much by the economic size and because of its strategic importance, is the void implementation (0.0%) respectively of the amounts allocated to funding for the construction of two buildings relocated Casillas and CR4, and for the protection and promotion of industrial activity.

"It is clear that the dedication of the Consistory to matters related to housing and industrial land is absolutely void and, once again, the PP deceive the public with promises that a flagrant breach."

Similarly, Ros notes that what is striking is the zero contribution to the work of City Planning.

So for 2008 was provided a contribution of EUR 28.9 million to the management of the Consistory which was at just 70,000 euros, up 2%.

The Planning Department, the completion of the socialist council has paid the price for mismanagement, waste and waste that the PP does with their accounts.

"Instead of investing in major infrastructure has preferred to use the money on unnecessary expenses for advertising, publicity and self-promotion, leaving once again to Murcia with a city without essential infrastructure."
