Note from PSOE:

Councilman Alfonso Navarro complaint PSOE economic policy of the City Council spends 100.

000 euros per day to cope with the massive public debt accumulated in recent years, while crashing off the productive investments which boost economic activity and generate employment

The Socialist councilor Alfonso Navarro claim the high indebtedness of the City of Murcia you spend 100,000 euros each day to pay the debt (principal and interest loans to medium and long term) owed to banks and thrifts.

Only in 2008, reports Navarro, the City spent nearly 36 million euros (€ 35,774,950) to pay municipal debt, which accumulated the total amount exceeds 230 million euros.

Ever-increasing debt

In addition to these amounts, says the mayor of the PSOE, in 2009, the City has made new loans worth EUR 54 million with various banks to cope with the serious problems existing cash to cover current expenditures.

Underinvestment

"While the action is triggered dangerously debt to cover the losses of the box and pay the operating costs are set aside for productive investment," says Navarro.

Proof of this, unfortunately, is that real investments planned for 2008, carried only a maximum of 30 percent.

"Of the 133 million projected for real investments only spent just over 40 million euros."

Therefore, the Socialist councilor PP raises to give priority to eliminating municipal spending unnecessary and unproductive costs, optimizing revenue management and directing spending toward investment, especially those that involve an added value and generate wealth and employment.
