The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, and the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, today inaugurated the new office Barriomar Primary Care, which is designed to provide health care to a population of 5,500 people.
In the construction and equipping of the center has invested a total of 640,600 euros, of which more than 437,000 are provided by the Ministry of Health and the rest of the municipality of Murcia.
The new infrastructure is located in the path of Herrera and belongs to Area Health 7 Murcia East.
The office has an area of 339 sq meters distributed in a plant where three family medicine clinics, a pediatric and two nurses, one for children.
These units are summed extractions room and priests, three lounges modules and internal departments such as management and staff.
The building also has a data network that enables the implementation of electronic medical record that connects this facility to other hospitals.
The center also offers service appointments.
Actions in the areas of Health 1 and 7, West and East Murcia Murcia
This infrastructure is in addition to the actions carried out by the Ministry of Health in two Health Areas into which the municipality of Murcia, 1 and 7 for Murcia Murcia West and East, respectively.
So in December last year opened the Health Center Monteagudo, in area 7, which also is building the Health Center area of San Juan.
Furthermore, in the Murcia area 1 West, is nearing completion of construction of the Health Center of La Nora will become operational during the second half of this year.
Also, after the summer is scheduled to begin construction of health centers Aljucer, Floridablanca and Santiago El Mayor as currently are in the process of contracting the work.
On the other hand, have recently begun to provide health care clinics in the Primary Care Esparragal, Shore Azarbe and Llano de Brujas.
