The Ministry of Agriculture and Water, through the General Directorate of Natural Heritage and the Association of Residents for Sustainable Development Garruchal (Adesga), today celebrated the Marathon II Photographic Garruchal 'where the owl lives. "
During this activity, aimed at professional and amateur photographers in the categories of adult and child / youth has developed a four-mile trip through the area and a dinner jacket in the sale of the old Garruchal.
Among the goals set by the organizers for the day, the contestants show through a collection of twelve photographs, places, people, experiences, histories and traditions of the Garruchal, while it will release the environmental values of the Area Special Protection Areas (SPA), Monte Valley and Sierras de Altahona and Escalona.
The official competition jury, composed of representatives of Adesga, the General Directorate of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, Department of the Environment of the City of Murcia and a renowned photographer, will decide the three winning collections in each of the two categories and make a special mention for 'Best art photography. "
On the other hand, will select the best images, to be exhibited at the Auditorium of Beniaján from 4 to 29 May.
These works will again be put to the vote, this time by a jury consisting of people who attend the shows, so it will be a second award of fotomaratón.
The six winners will receive prizes with official prize money in the awards ceremony to be held on June 3 at the Auditorium of Beniaján.
For their part, elected by the jury will have a cash prize, for the best collection, and a primer on digital photography to the author of that least voted.
All of them will also receive a diploma and a lot of material on environmental issues in the Region of Murcia.
