Youth Art Laboratory (LAB) hosts from tomorrow, Wednesday at 18:00 pm on courses 'Photography as a travel diary' and 'The brightness of the toad: Images of the worst', in which the photographer Ángel Fernández Saura and the painter Chema López analyzed the contemporary image through photography and painting, respectively.
The first is a reflection of the reality around us through images of the work of photographer Ángel Fernández Saura, constructed by way of a private travel diary in pictures.
The trip and its documentation in the internet age and the mass proliferation of images affects the way we face the world with a camera in hand.
The workshop "Photography as a travel diary 'will build on the work of Fernández Saura and his experience as a photographer to discuss issues relating to the conduct of a travelogue.
"The brightness of the Toad: Images of the worst 'trace a path through the paintings of Chema López analyze the issues that affect their work as reference, since the power relations, the tragic sense of life or the issue of freedom.
Ángel Fernández Saura has worked the world of image since the mid seventies became a photographer at the national reference.
His vision of the big cities such as this has shown in New York or concerns about nature have been cornerstones of his work.
The recognition of his work has been reflected in publications such as the book "Four Directions: Contemporary Photography in Spain 1970-1990", directed by Manuel Santos or presence in the "Encyclopedia of Twentieth Century Spanish Art, Artists, 1991, Serraller led.
Artist and PhD in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, has had solo exhibitions for galleries as that of Thomas March and participated in group exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland, as well as various editions of the fair of contemporary art and Art Arch Basel Switzerland.
