Metal Technology Center, located in the industrial West and belonging to the Network of Technological Centres in the Region of Murcia, promoted by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, through the INFO, has launched its facilities a new laboratory for conducting tests on windows, before the coming into force of the CE mark mandatory for producers of that product.
The laboratory, which is unique in the region, is equipped to carry out the tests for resistance to wind load, water tightness and air permeability, required for the CE, so it is imperative to have a proven infrastructure as provided by this technology center.
Metal Technology Center has qualified staff to perform calculations that determine the coefficient of thermal transmittance of frame profiles and the entire window, with glazing.
In addition, the Windows Test Laboratory will shortly have two chambers for testing sound insulation, with the necessary measuring instruments, which will perform the relevant tests to characterize acoustic insulation of windows.
