Six unemployed women will practice through agreements between the Department of Employment and three hotels in the city (Catalonia Conde de Floridablanca, Friendship Hotel Silken Siete Coronas).
A total of fourteen women have completed the training provided to them to work as hotel maids.
Women have participated in the course given by the council since November 2008 and ending on 27 February.
Access requirements have been having a graduate school or finished second in the ESO.
The students are aged between 20 and 59 years and have been trained
- Introduction to tourism and hospitality: 20 hours.
- Introduction to the work area 10 hours.
- Cleaning and maintenance of land 85 hours.
- Set up of rooms and floor areas 85 hours.
- Health and safety at work 45 hours
- Quality customer service and 50 hours.
- English for floors 40 hours.
TOTAL COURSE HOURS 335 HOURS
The training they have received training focuses on cleaning and tuning of the rooms (hotels, apartments, houses, etc..), In all possible units and common areas of flats, taking care of the good fittings and furnishings.
Also responsible for delivering items left by customers, complete worksheets, report anomalies detected by techniques and procedures established by the matron or higher, for high quality in terms of cleanliness and hygiene and use perfect facilities.
