The Senate of the University of Murcia has called on the Regional Executive "strong support to public universities, with the allocation of resources to ensure quality higher education within the framework of the European Convergence."
The university representative body, which held a monograph on the Bologna Process, approved last night a statement showing their support for the two basic principles underlying the construction of a Common Higher Education Area. "
Thus, the agreement says, is support of student and staff mobility throughout Europe and supporting the increasingly active role of students in their studies, "valuing real effort to overcome these different subjects."
The agreement states that "we ask that you arrive at the establishment of appropriate conditions for students to complete the lessons without obstacles or limitations of economic origin, indicating the need for adequate policy of scholarships and financial aid including Masters also. "
Finally, the Senate calls for "adequate funding from government for reform can be implemented so as to meet the quality criteria required by the European convergence process."
This funding, they conclude, must complete both the infrastructure and human resources "without establishing numerus clausus in any degree or master, especially in the mandatory, as the secondary."
