The Community contributes one million euros to build new municipal facilities and Torres Cabezo Stables (23/12/2008)

Another agreement signed today allows the conclusion in Murcia courses for local police officers in the municipalities of the Region

The Ministry of the Presidency and government subsidize the City of Murcia with a million euros for the construction of two separate multi-purpose community centers in the districts of Cabezo de Torres and Stables, under the agreement signed today between officials of both institutions, Pedro María Reverte and Miguel Angel House.

The purpose of this agreement, which provides that the works are completed by the end of 2010, these districts have infrastructure to which converge both administrative and recreational activities, educational and cultural.

The joint project for the construction of both facilities is budgeted at a total of 1.6 million euros, 800,000 for each center, which the Ministry of the Presidency and government to provide 500,000 euros to 300,000 each and the remaining City Council Murcia.

Reverte stressed in the act of signing the agreement, the regional government support to municipalities to "provide all residents of more and better services and to support the financial sustainability of municipalities."

Courses for local police

On the other hand, Reverte and House signed another agreement to provide on the premises of the Police Academy of the City of Murcia Local six courses selective admission to the Police Local municipalities in the region.

To this end, the City of Murcia facilitates the use of the facilities necessary for the development of the course and the Presidential and Public Administration provides 124,320 euros to cover expenses.

The courses are for six promotions to local police applicants, about 180 applicants about involving the delivery of a total of 4,144 hours of lessons.

Four of these courses have been completed and the last two will begin to be held in January.

Local Police School in the Region of Murcia is competent basic training, staff development, advocacy and expertise of the members of Local Police Forces in the Region, and municipalities with Municipal Police School can offer courses adjusted income programs approved by the School.

The purpose of such agreements is that the School of Police of the Region of Murcia hold training activities it deserves while building future facilities in Sangonera la Verde.
