The Socialist deputy, Jesus Lopez said that the current building of IES Alfonso X the Wise, built in 1965, is in an advanced state of deterioration that advises, as recorded in technical reports of their own Ministry of Education, a thorough restoration or its replacement by a new building.
In 2005 works were contracted for a new flag in front of the building, recently completed works.
However, this area does not have educational use, but that will house a museum, formerly located in the old building.
Temporary classrooms
Lopez said that in the space previously occupied by the museum were fitted earlier this year on a provisional classrooms for some groups of students through emergency works.
"Everything in precarious situation is alarming," she complained.
Parents of students have repeatedly expressed concern about the situation of the building and outside it.
Therefore require reconstruction, as well as measures to temporarily place students while performing the work.
Socialist parliamentarian added that last summer before the media reports echoed from the direction of the institute on a project for a new building.
