Youth violence Murcia (23/09/2008)

The Youth Council of the City of Murcia, who heads María Dolores Sánchez, commitment to training and volunteer work to prevent violence.

Youth is launching a project funded by the European Union is to make prevention of violence to 24 European and Latin American youth while participating in volunteer projects around the world.

This initiative involves organizations from four European countries-Spain (Ayuntamiento de Murcia), Finland, United Kingdom and Poland, and four Latin American countries-Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico and Uruguay.

Under this project, young Europeans will participate for 11 months in volunteer projects in South America and Latin American youth will participate for 11 months in voluntary projects in Europe.

Eight young people from Murcia will be part of this experience.

Volunteers will have covered the cost of travel, insurance, accommodation, meals, training and given monthly pocket money.

Young volunteers apply what they have learned during their experience in their countries of origin.

It will be issued a book that exposed the work of volunteers.

The deadline for young people to Murcia from 20 to 30 years to register is already open and will close next week.

The 'prevent violence, build equality' European Voluntary Service of the Youth Council of the City of Murcia has a budget of 202,740 euros, financed by the European Union.

-MEXICO.

Dynamism Youth Organization.

Working mostly in Santa Maria de la Ribera to promote culture.

-URUGUAY.

Soriano Youth Program (PSJ) to encourage participation and self-management of youth and youth associations.

-UK.

Point Europa is a organization that works directly with children and youth associations.

-MURCIA.

The main objective is the dissemination and promotion of information, provide information and resources to youth and encourage the creation of group activities.

-FINLAND.

Villa Elba is a national youth working with youth and children and promotes artistic and cultural activities.

-POLAND.

Volunteers develop youth activities related to international education and culture.
