100 people sought medical care during the pilgrimage day and night concert (16/09/2008)

The Ministry of Health, through the Management 061, last night launched today a special occasion of the pilgrimage and the concerts, held the night before the hike to the mountain of the Virgin of Fuensanta.

In total, the medical staff has treated 100 people, of which only 15 have been transferred to different hospitals in the region.

The main causes of the assistance has been, among others, fainting, falling, or alcohol intoxication but at no time has clarified the reinforcement from the specialized medical units.

During the concert held in New Condomina Monday night installed a field hospital and health were made 32 assists, most of them for injuries and fainting.

Total of only 8 people needed to be referred to hospital, 5 Hospital Morales Meseguer Hospital and 3 at the Reina Sofía.

68 people attended during the Pilgrimage

During the day, day of the Pilgrimage of the Fuensanta , the device of the Red Cross has treated 68 people, of which 7 have required transfer to hospital: 11 alcohol intoxication, 1 tachycardia, 3 faintness and 20 minor injuries .

In the field hospital set forth in Labrador curve the path of the pilgrimage, has treated a total of 11 persons: 2 faintness, 1 strain, 1 insect bite, 1 hemorrhage, 1 pulled muscle, 3 minor injuries, 1 headache , 1 transfer to the Hospital Arrixaca hypertension.

In the magazine, has been working the Rescue Group, with a total of 32 individuals served: 13 alcohol intoxication, 3 anxiety attacks, 8 minor injuries, 2 and 3 fainting seizures.

Finally, the Command Post, located on the Esplanade, has made the search for two missing children, that have been reached without a hitch.
