An exhibition honors Paul Serrano on the centenary of his birth (10/09/2008)

Murcia celebrates the figure of the Aragonese sculptor Pablo Serrano on the centenary of his birth.

The Hall of Columns Almudí Palace houses the exhibition 'Pablo Serrano, in the public sphere' with works by the sculptor from 1951 to 1985.

Brings together 28 sculptures in total and a half of lithographs.

In this way, the exhibition will look at a bust of Antonio Machado, one of King Juan Carlos I and the series of sculptures' Entertainments with Picasso. "

The exhibition will be open until 10 October, Monday to Saturday from 11-14 pm and 17-21 pm, Sundays, 11 to 14 hours.

Pablo Serrano was born in the province of Teruel Crivillén in 1908.

Gold Medal of Fine Arts and the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts, his works feature the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Hermitage Museum in Leningrad, the Museum of Contemporary Art in the city of Paris, the Guggenheim Museum , Lisbon Gulbenkian Foundation, the Middelheim in Antwerp and the Vatican Museum, among others.
