'The clarity of light' shows the advantages of using renewable energy (05/09/2008)

The Murcia will learn in the coming months to be more kind to the environment by using renewable energy.

The exhibition 'The clarity of light', produced by the Social Works Cajamadrid, brings to the Museum of Science and Water key to understanding why we must stop using fossil fuels to using renewable energy.

The show, directed by naturalist and environmental communicator Joaquín Araújo, has a strong educational.

The aim is to encourage the use of renewable energies and explain the implications of current energy model.

In the 300 meters and took the exhibition can be seen, as well as various photographs and information boards, sculptures built with domestic appliances, with cables, scrap car and a reproduction of a pylon.

The exhibition is divided into three distinct areas:

- Non-renewable energy, composed of Electricity, Transport, Industry, Climate change and distribution, explains the current energy sources, its drawbacks and exploitation and how this has led to an unsustainable situation in the world.

Home Sustainable / unsustainable home, shows how our daily behavior has a direct bearing on the sustainability of the planet.

Renewable energy, divided into the sun, water, wind, biofuels, hydrogen and commitment to Kyoto where these energy sources rely on the benefits presented against the traditional sources and the need for a global commitment.

After last exhibition "Climate Change: Questions and Answers', Murcia City Council wants to reinforce its commitment to this show informative and awareness, especially younger ones, so that together we ensure the sustainability and future of our planet.

The exhibition will be open until November 4th, Tuesday to Saturday from 10-14 and 17-20, Sunday and holidays from 11 to 14 hours.
