More than 1,700 children participate in summer schools of Social Services (15/07/2008)

More than 1,700 small municipality participating in the 39 summer schools organized by the Department of Health and Social Services in Murcia City neighborhoods and districts.

The Department of Social Services, which runs Fulgencio Cervantes, claims that children participate in recreational activities, sports and education by offering them the opportunity to have new experiences, make new friends, interact with peers and learn other entertainment options.

Likewise, this initiative promotes the participation of groups, associations, organizations and volunteer of the various districts and villages.

In the summer schools are organized sports, juggling workshops, tattoos, beads, leather, shirts, cooking, modeling, folders, stamped envelopes, comets, recycling, dance, drama, body language ... In addition, small pools visit city, the beach, the track Ice Elche, Ceutimagina, the fire station and other cultural visits.

Cervantes this morning visited the summer school Bacons Bridge, which takes place in the CEIP Infanta Cristina and implemented a unique project of reconciling work and family life.

This school is held from 1 to 31 July, 8-17 pm, for children from 3-12 years.

There are 50 seats.

This school is intended to help parents who are working and have no possibility of leaving their children with anyone during business hours.

The Stables Summer School takes place from 1 to 25 July at the CEIP San José de Calasanz, in schedule 10 to 13 hours.

There are 60 beds for children 6 to 12 years.

Summer school of El Carmen takes place in the CEIP Los Alamos, from 1 to 18 July, with 100 places for children of 6-12 years.
