The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today held a breakfast meeting with the residents of the hamlet of Cobatillas to hear their proposals and respond to their demands, in the round of direct encounters that is keeping the citizens of Murcia and its parishes.
This is the start of the round of meetings in districts that is holding the mayor, to encourage active participation in local politics by neighbors throughout the city, and learn about the proposals and needs of associations and different groups.
During breakfast, which joined more than a hundred cobatilleros and cobatilleras, residents had the opportunity to apply various improvements in the district, among which highlighted the creation of a new pedestrian crossing in front of the Medical Clinic -a request the City Council has already given orders for it to materialize as before.
During the round of interventions, which took place in an informal and relaxed manner, other social issues such as the importance of awareness when it comes to keeping the streets and public spaces in Cobatillas, public safety clean, flood water point raised and improvement of the school, among others.
