The Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, opened the twelfth edition of the Week of Science and Technology Institute of Teaching Floridablanca Murcia today.
Sanchez-Mora highlighted the important role of this activity to "awaken vocations in all disciplines, where necessary, and that every student knows choose what he likes and what feels more prepared."
The Minister appreciated the effort of the management team and teachers from the center "for the future of their students" and expressed the full support of the Ministry and the Seneca Foundation this "enriching event."
The IES Floridablanca develop these events for the dissemination of scientific and technological advances from the 2004/2005 course monographic weeks.
This edition is dedicated to 'International Year of the vegetables' and incorporates two new features: the celebration of 'The Science Fair', where 13 centers come to show their work on 10 February, and training activities for teachers on nanotechnology .
It is expected to attend between 2000 and 2500 people.
