The doctoral thesis carried out by Ana Maria Ruiz-Ruano, professor of the Master in General Psychology at the Catholic University, was defended at the UCAM, entitled 'Structural Learning Bayesian networks to model the academic entrepreneurship and technological sustainable basis '.
This paper focuses on the comparison between the machine learning by Bayesian networks, such as the use of statistics for teaching, with different variables in the study can be addressed.
It is an innovative research, both the methodology and the topic, and so far only two theses in Spain have opted for the subject of academic entrepreneurs for their defense.
Or Bayesian probability networks are representations through charts that help describe the probability distribution that has a set of random variables, analyzing the possibilities of an event, being widely used in areas such as marketing or economic prejudices, but almost unknown in the field of health and psychology.
The main objective of this research has been to find the academic entrepreneur, taking first the possibility of finding a real entrepreneur or potential, and distinguishing whether technological or academic one is sustainable.
Thus, through getting sociodemographic and labor information of potential entrepreneurs, it has been found that the entrepreneur is defined which to open a business that combines both technology and sustainability.
Another point to highlight was the difference in perspectives of the possible future entrepreneurs and existing entrepreneurs, as they have the same view of the advantages and obstacles that exist today.
