First steps to create the ordinance of transparency (04/02/2016)

This evening was held another meeting of the Study of transparency and citizen participation which was attended by Councilman Jose Guillen Modernization, Councillor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, Councillor for Youth and spokesperson Municipal Popular, Rebeca Perez, Enrique Ayuso and Juan Vicente Larrosa Municipal, Citizens Paqui Pérez, Sergio Ramos and Margarita Swan Socialist Group's change and Luis Alberto de Murcia Murcia now.

This commission is the body which are agreed between all local political groups the actions of the City Council regarding transparency and participation.

This meeting has begun work on the draft of the new ordinance of transparency governing the various actions that the City holds for Murcia to know in detail, through accessible media management that carried out in the municipality.

The council has explained that "although many of these transparency measures have already been put in place, we now seek regularize them, strengthening them and move forward in a consensual way and dialogue with local political groups, to ensure that Murcia is between the most transparent municipalities from Spain".

"We want to give this ordinance a qualitative leap in citizen participation in public affairs and in the interaction between the municipality and Murcia," he pointed Guillen.

Councilman Jose Guillen also announced that the City will adhere to the Code of Good Governance of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces reflects the principles of transparency and public ethics, together with measures to improve the management and quality of local democracy plus enhance public values, standards of conduct and ethical behavior of public officials and local executives.
