The City Council launches a plan to create sports facilities in parks and gardens (04/02/2016)

The Department of Administration Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation and the Department of Sports and Health continue their efforts to convert green areas into spaces for meeting and coexistence enabled the sport.

Councillors Felipe Coello and Jose Guillen announced during his visit yesterday to Cabezo de Torres, the implementation of a plan that includes the creation of sports facilities of various kinds, as biosaludables circuits, mini sports courts and areas gerontogimnasia, in parks and gardens of the town.

Specifically, we are studying the installation of mini sports courts for football and basketball practices in different places such as San Andrés and garden Dew.

In addition, the baskets, and goals of several existing tracks will be rehabilitated.

Moreover, the council includes the creation of biosaludables circuits such as those found in the garden of Abenarabi, Cabezo de la Plata and Los Dolores, with road conditioning for runners and fitness equipment.

All these actions, seeking to encourage the practice of sports in gardens, in addition to the installation of 50 new areas gerontogimnasia in different gardens of Murcia and districts, each with five devices that increase the 452 existing ones.

The announcement of this new plan was carried out by Guillen and Coello in their visit yesterday Cabezo de Torres, where you are creating several sports facilities as an integrated circuit Biosalud in the green zone, a climbing wall for climbing and a skate park with ramps .

Similarly, in the Garden of the Constitution it has recently conducted a performance improvement of the sports area consisting of the arrangement of the perimeter fence.

In turn, within the plan to improve recreation areas and playgrounds, a new area on the Calle del Pilar with an area of ​​80 square meters fenced and covered with tile floor was run-absorbing impacts.

This project will be completed with the implementation of an area of ​​gerontogimnasia in Street Lo Navarro.

Some of the recently completed at the maintenance level in this hamlet performances have been planting seasonal flowers in the garden and park Church, replenishing two Brachychiton at Reina Sofía and replacement three oranges in street Councilman Remigio Lopez.
