The Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change (Alem), under the Department of Administration Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation, presented the Municipal Energy Management Guide, based on ISO 50001: 2011, prepared by the Association Spanish Agency for Energy Management (EnerAgen).

The Guide is a great tool, very practical and simple, for those municipalities that want to manage the energy consumed efficiently, implementing and maintaining an energy management system in line with the UNE-EN ISO 50001: 2011.

This document is for municipalities to manage efficiently their energy performance and minimize their environmental impact and achieving significant savings.

So the guide is particularly targeted at government team, the representative of the municipal government energy manager, Hall workers and citizens in general.

Modernization Councilman Jose Guillen, explained that "this guide fits perfectly in the common objectives of the energy agencies that have been working with the aim of promoting sustainable development for over 10 years by increasing renewable energy and energy efficiency. "

In this sense, GER has taken advantage of the assembly and labor associations to present this work where EnerAgen, as coordinator of these energy agencies, manages the implementation of joint actions that promote this great confluence of synergies.

EnerAgen is an association that brings together the common interests of energy agencies, covering all policy areas, to improve the work of all, exchange information and best practices, as well as having a single voice to represent them, both nationally and in international forums.

Its objectives are, among others, to promote, strengthen and ensure the role of Agencies Energy Management in all areas of action, develop joint proposals for action, promote coordination of resources and support systems to facilitate citizenship access to them and do a job information to the various stakeholders in the energy sector.
