Nine percent of students in primary, secondary and high schools in the region are considered perpetrators or victims of harassment as one of the conclusions of the doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia by Ana Maria Gimenez Gualdo.
The sample analyzed to discover what the situation known as "bullying" or "cyberbullying" reveals that the percentage of students considered involved in such practices, since the role of aggressors-cyber attackers, victims-cybervictims or victimized offenders victimized-cyber attackers, "existing overlap between the two dynamics of aggression".
In cyberbullying, he says the doctoral thesis has obtained excellent cum laude, use multiple applications, among which the WhatsApp, phone calls and social networks.
The study says that the analysis of problematic and addictive behaviors toward information technology use and communication reveals a "worrying" percentage of students who recognize these problems with symptoms of anxiety, discomfort, aggressiveness and changing interests.
Research adds that "surprisingly victim and aggressor confirm that typically communicate their involvement in bullying and cyberbullying, although the percentages in the second case are lower".
The doctoral thesis was supervised by professors from the University of Murcia and Pilar Maquilón Jerome Javier Arnaiz.
