Almost a hundred young people live a different summer thanks to international trade Hall (20/08/2015)

The Mayor, José Ballesta, today received ambassadors to young Murcia.

Nearly two dozen boys and monitors that have participated this summer in the 18 youth exchanges organized by the City Council have visited the Plenary Hall to tell the Mayor their experience.

In total there were 97 young people, aged between 15 and 25 who have traveled in July and August to nine European countries (Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Greece, France, Portugal, Italy, United Kingdom and Luxembourg) for different cities European Union through living with other young people and implement their knowledge of languages, while Murcia make ambassadors in other countries.

Each exchange has developed a different theme and Jazz Music, Creative Europe, Equality, nature, graffiti, XXXI International Music Week Ettelbruck, storytelling, responsible consumption, traditions and Europe, among others.

It should be noted which was held in the German city of Hannover, under the name 'Musicted Europe', which has been aimed at young blind ONCE members.

The Municipal Plan International Exchanges, which this year 2015 has reached its nineteenth edition, besides giving a European dimension to the activities that the city of Murcia are proposed to the citizens of the municipality, aims to meet the following objectives:

Promoting knowledge of the countries of the European Union through the relationship between people of different origins.

Encourage the practice of other languages.

Facilitate the exchange of ideas on topics of common interest to citizens of other countries.

Promote knowledge of general and Spain in Murcia in particular: ways of life, customs, etc.

Enable the practice of Spanish and disseminate their knowledge.

All projects are funded by the European Commission.

Plus Erasmus, Youth and Europe for Citizens Programme.

Most of the organizations involved, either as project coordinator or partner thereof, belong to the Platform Network, a network of European organizations working

The projects are coordinated by all European organizations and at least three European countries.
