The Security Department has designed a special device on the occasion of the regional and municipal elections held on Sunday, with the participation of about 500 local police officers.
The tasks related to this election day will begin the night of Saturday to Sunday service monitoring and prevention in 140 polling stations of the municipality in which 313 693 voters may vote provided.
What is intended is to keep these facilities in perfect conditions of use and the incidents that may be observed are rectified as soon as possible so that the constitution of the polling stations did not suffer any delay and election day normally begins.
On Sunday the device establishes security tasks in 41 of the 140 schools with the National Police and Civil Guard is responsible for the remaining 99.
In addition, local police officers perform tasks of logistics and distribution support and documentation, intervening in case of incidents and lack of ballots, ballot boxes or envelopes.
During Sunday evening will develop and support surveillance functions until the end of the ballots.
