Francisco Segado (Faculty of Sport UCAM), José Moya (La Manga Club) and Joaquín Martínez (Pinatar Arena) explained in the UCAM the current situation of sports tourism and its potential
'Tourism and Sport' is the name of the seminar organized by the Tourism Degree UCAM has had the participation of three experts who explained to the students the current situation of sports tourism in the region of Murcia and the possibilities immediately envision for a promising future.
They have participated in this day: Francisco Segado, professor of the Faculty of Sport of the UCAM, which has developed the tourism situation related to sailing and regattas;
José Moya, who has had the experience of La Manga Club as a strategic enclave of quality sports tourism centered on golf and football;
and Joaquin Martinez, director of communication Pinatar Arena, who told the students the latest success story in the Region of Murcia, based in football attracts teams from around the world and generates wealth and economic activity in their model environment.
Precisely a week ago in the UCAM, Alejandro Blanco, Spanish Olympic Committee president, noted the importance to keep in Spain tourism associated with the sport as a new engine of the economy.
He did so in the context of the celebration of the XLVII Meeting of the Spanish Olympic Academy held on the campus of Los Jeronimos.
