Doctor honoris causa made these statements during the signing of a letter of intent between the University of Murcia and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Enterprise and Innovation, which was held in the building of convalescence, home of the Chancellor.
The agreement was signed by the Vice Chancellor for Coordination and Internationalisation, Bernardo Cascales, and the Minister, Juan Carlos Ruiz, who stressed that "the University is a hundred years of training, transfer and research and at the same time, one hundred years commitment to our region. Ruiz added that the agreement will allow the financing of various activities related to the centenary, such as conferences, scientific meetings and exhibitions.
Meanwhile, Cascales has highlighted the mutual collaboration between the University and the region "within a loyal and sincere cooperation".
He has also explained that the actions contemplated in the letter of intent will allow making visible to society scientific activity that takes place in the educational institution.
By signing ceremony was attended, along with the vice chancellors José Antonio Gómez and Antonio Juan Garcia and Secretary General, Santiago Alvarez, President of the Social Council, Javier Ruano, and the Director General for Research and Innovation, Celia Martinez, besides the director of the Seneca Foundation, Antonio González.
