The cities of Murcia and Ternopil are determined to strengthen their cooperation channels and open new avenues of cooperation.
This has been agreed this morning their respective mayors, Miguel Angel House and Sergiy Nadal, who held a meeting at City Hall, which was also attended by the Councillor for Institutional Relations, Joaquín Moya-Angeler, and counselors Volodymyr Kashytskyy and Vasyl Lylo .
The meeting, held at City Hall, occurred after his visit Moya-Angeler to Ukraine last November, when I had various contacts that culminated in the signing of a cooperation agreement that, among other things, provided for the exchange of experiences about the operation and development of the cities with the goal of "deepening friendship and cooperation between municipalities and its inhabitants."
The strengthening of relations is mainly appreciated in areas such as local and municipal administration;
economy and trade, through the coordination of economic cooperation (economic projects and programs of joint investment);
science, education and health;
culture and art;
tourism development and sport;
and ecology and rational use of natural resources.
Camera and Nadal have also agreed to promote closer ties between citizens of both cities, always in the spirit of tolerance and intercultural cooperation, and promoting the exchange of professional experience.
Ternopil is a Ukrainian city with approximately 300,000 inhabitants located west of Ukraine and capital of a province with 1,200,000 inhabitants.
At present, the municipal census recorded 4,124 residents in Murcia from Ukraine, of which 80% are from Ternopil.
