The Mobile Emergency Service and Social Care (SEMAS) of the Department of Social Welfare and Health of the City of Murcia, has attended this week overnight eight people (7 men and one woman) of which 5 are Spanish, two Moroccan and Romanian
The team, consisting of a social worker and a local police officer assigned to Social Services, toured various areas like Carmen neighborhood, C / Floridablanca, neighborhood Infante, Cathedral, Santa Maria de Gracia, San Andres, San Antolin, San Antón and Vistalegre.
According to needs, two sleeping bags, two blankets and 2 hot drinks were distributed.
A people served was informed of existing municipal resources.
The SEMAS has intensified its activity because of the low temperatures to minimize the risks of homeless people sleeping on the streets.
