Garre: "Investing in Health is a consequence of the Government's will and effort of citizens" (17/02/2015)

Stresses the important care network in the region that already brings together 83 health centers, 179 clinics and urgent care 48 points

The president of the Community, Alberto Garre, today recognized the "effort and sacrifice" of all Murcia, with its contribution to the budget, enable the regional government can continue to improve healthcare.

The construction of this facility represents an investment to the community of more than 3.7 million euros (3.3 corresponds to the cost of the work and 400,000 euros in equipment).

The people who attend the Health District of Murcia-South reaches 21,400 users spread between this new health center and clinics Patiño and the Barrio del Progreso.

It is a Primary Care Centre has a team of 24 professionals, including eight family physicians, two pediatricians, seven nurses, physical therapist, midwife, four administrative assistants and auxiliary nursing are.

The center has 11 queries Family Medicine, three of Pediatrics, living extractions, lactation and minor surgery room.

It also has a multipurpose room a formative classroom and boardroom-library, plus 31 parking spaces for cars and 20 for motorcycles.

The center's facilities have a total floor area of ​​4,343 square meters spread over three floors.

A ground floor of 994 square meters, the first floor with 959 square meters and 1,691 square meters of basement-garage, to which an outer surface of 930 square meters urbanized adds.

Among the services offered by this new health center are Special Health Programs Child Care providing immunizations, oral health, detection of autism spectrum hyperactivity and periodic reviews.

It also offers programs Care for Women and Adult-Elder, with diagnostic and monitoring of pregnancy, early diagnosis of cervical cancer home care for terminally ill patients, monitoring and assessment of obesity or prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

It also has a Care Programme aimed at young women between 15 and 19 years with a diagnosis of pregnancy.
