The workshops reading the Centers for Women commemorate its founder (10/02/2015)

Workshops reading the Centers for Women and women's associations commemorating the work of its founder, Mariano Sánchez Gil, who launched this activity by the Murcia Regional Association of Friends of Reading in 2002.

These workshops encourage reading develop in 15 Centers for Women and women's associations in the municipality and are aimed women's access to culture through animation and motivation for reading, developing their literary interests.

Another objective is to empower members as possible cheerleaders forming or reading in their respective centers.

Currently five of the workshops are run by their own members Centers.

Reading workshop include the Centers for Women San Basilio, Santiago El Mayor, Fleet, The Arboleja, La Paz, La Fama, Abenarabi, District Centre, Barriomar, La Nora, La Azacaya, Santa Eulalia, Widows Association Salzillo, Housewives Monteagudo and Association of Separated Catholic Women Association.

Councilmember Equality Policy, Alicia Barquero, participated this afternoon in the placement of a plaque at the Center for Women's Abenarabi reminding the promoter of this activity, who died in 2008. The plate was delivered to other centers Women and associations that carry out this initiative.

Reading workshops are organized by the Department of Equality Policy and Development Cooperation of the Municipality of Murcia, in collaboration with the Murcia Regional Association of Friends of Reading.
