Exhibitions, theater and conferences, in the Days of Arts and Humanities Institute José Planes (09/02/2015)

The CEO of Educational Planning and Human Resources, Enrique Ujaldón inaugurated this morning the Days of Arts and Humanities at the Institute of Secondary Education José Plans Espinardo (Murcia), during which exhibitions, theater performances and lectures will be held in around the story, drama or poetry.

The conference, which are part of the seventh edition of the Cultural Week of the center include two separate cultural trips to Seville and Madrid, where they will visit the Museo del Prado, the CaixaForum space, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia and the Museo Sorolla .

During the inauguration, Ujaldón highlighted the dynamic nature of management and teaching center team and stressed the importance of arts education in the training of students.

"These initiatives will promote among students creative ability, understanding the environment and critical thinking skills that complement learned in other subjects and help in the formation of pupils content," he said.

The conference, which revolve around the International Year of light and light-based technologies have started with historical reenactments of the Legions of Cartagonova, along with a conference entitled 'The splendor of the Spanish monarchy: the protagonists of the empire Spanish ', given by Professor of History and Political Thought and Social Movements at the University of Murcia José Javier Ruiz Ibáñez.

In addition, we have opened two exhibitions about research department of Classics, entitled 'Abrasadabra' and 'Eroticism in classical antiquity'.

In the following days, students at the school will enjoy talks about theater, as Professor of the School of Dramatic Art Fulgencio Martínez-Lax, on the editing process, with a paper entitled 'The process digital edition' of the Hand teacher and writer Diana Al Azem or poetry, with his lecture the poet and professor Joaquín Piqueras on 'Poetry and the Internet'.

Also on Wednesday February 11 there will be a play by the drama workshop IES La Basilica, which will stage the classical piece 'Antigone' by Sophocles.
