Volunteers from the University of Murcia collaborate on a program to teach Spanish to foreign women (09/02/2015)

The Los Alamos Foundation and the University of Murcia have signed an agreement in which volunteers help students in the program that it has in Cieza to teach Spanish to foreign women of the town.

The agreement was signed in Convalescence by the rector of the University, José Orihuela, and the founder and president of the Foundation, former Ambassador José Luis Pardos, who said that this partnership is based on solidarity and tolerance, as well excellence, which should be the key to the University, he said.

Pardos reported that the Foundation is promoting, for ten years in his orchard Cieza, systemic education, progress and global reach, for which the Internet is used and new technologies.

Professor Conrado Navalón, member of the Foundation, explained that the origin of the program is in a ciezano school where more than two thirds are foreign, when from Los Alamos noted the importance of participation and involvement of mothers in learning of school.

The agreement, which, according to the Vice Chancellor for Students, Quality and Equality, Miguel Ángel Pérez, is of the essence giving volunteerism, will encourage university students to support the work of teachers with immigrant women from the city to give them an education more individualized.

The rector, who closed the ceremony, showed the willingness of the educational institution to expand collaboration with the Foundation and offered to visit the classrooms of Cieza to see first hand the work there thanks to the patronage of José Luis Pardos develops.
