The SEMAS has attended this week overnight to five homeless by cold (06/02/2015)

The Mobile Emergency Service and Social Care (SEMAS) of the Department of Social Welfare and Health of the City of Murcia, has attended this week overnight at a total of five people, all men, two of Spanish nationality two Macedonians and a Bulgarian.

The team, consisting of a social worker and a local police officer assigned to Social Services, toured various areas like Carmen neighborhood, C / Floridablanca, ave.

Marqués de Corvera, Viudes, El Rollo, Artillery Barracks, Infante neighborhood, close to bus station and Health Center San Andrés, low bridge of the highway Malecon road Churra and Zarandona park.

Depending on requirements, six hot drinks and food, a blanket and one person was taken to the shelter of the foundation Jesus Forsaken were distributed.

All persons attended was informed of existing municipal resources.

The SEMAS has intensified its activity because of the low temperatures to minimize the risks of homeless people sleeping on the streets.
