More than 1,400 people are part of groups 4/40 (06/02/2015)

With the aim of promoting and encouraging a moderate and regular physical activity, the city of Murcia, through the Department of Social Welfare and Health, directed by María del Carmen Pelegrin, still working with the Program 4/40, which are some groups of adults who are called to walk, brisk, four days a week for 40 minutes each time, routes designed in the environment nearest you.

In the municipality of Murcia currently in operation 14 groups 4/40 to promote physical activity with a total of 1412 people registered.

In Group III Meeting will be held 4/40 hike (with two levels of difficulty) by a route designed at around VALLEY - La Alberca / Santo Angel, which have been called the participants in groups 4 / 40 in 2014.

Following the hike a healthy lunch will be held in the recreation area, which is established as a meeting and return the route.

They have confirmed their participation the following groups 4/40: Malecón, Espinardo, Beniaján, Llano de Brujas, San Ginés, Los Garres and Azarbe Shore.

With this activity the Municipal Health Services objectives are proposed:

1- Answer the claim made by several groups 4/40 to perform an activity intergroup coexistence.

2- To bring together people group participants 4/40, in a natural area of ​​the municipality and a healthy and motivating activity at the beginning of the quarter.

3- Reinforce the idea that physical exercise and healthy eating should go together to preserve and improve our health.

The meeting will take place on Saturday, February 7, in the Valley.

It will begin at 9 am and will run until 12 hours.

There will be two routes, with different levels of difficulty, designed in the countryside.
