The municipal swimming pool Mar Menor host the Saturday, February 7, the II Open Masters Swimming Murcia with the participation of 31 clubs and about 300 athletes.

The event is organized by the Masters Swimming Club Murcia with the assistance of the City of Murcia region and the Swimming Federation of the Region of Murcia.

9 single tests (male and female), 50 meters from each of the styles (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle), 100 meters of each style (backstroke, breaststroke and free), 100 medley and 400 freestyle will be held, 6 tests relay, 4x200 free and 4x100 mixed mixed styles, styles and free 4x50 4x50 (male and female).

There will also be out of competition tests adapted swimming, swimming disabled and non-federated athletes.

Involve several European Champions Masters and clubs Balearic Islands, Valencia, Extremadura, Madrid, Castilla la Mancha, Junta de Andalucia and Murcia.

The competitions will begin at 9.25 am and 15.40 pm.

There is provided a display of synchronized swimming by the Synchro Club Alhama, at the end of the morning session.

Masters Swimming Club Murcia collect baby food to be donated to Caritas for needy families at a ceremony to be held at 13.30.
