López: "The tram to El Carmen is not a priority and the line to the UCAM, (02/02/2015)

The spokesman and socialist candidate for mayor of Murcia again reiterate its position regarding the extension of the tram line to the neighborhood of El Carmen, a luxury we can not afford when there are places in the municipality incommunicado;

and a line like the UCAM, on which duty carried out a feasibility study immediately

The spokesperson and candidate for mayor of Murcia, Pedro López, today demanded the local PP that meets the full agreement of 2010 by which undertook to carry out a technical study to examine the possibility of extending the branch of the tram will UCAM towards the villages of La Nora and Javalí Viejo;

and the town of Sewell.

It's the only way he insisted Lopez to monetize this shuttle, at present, it costs 5,000 euros per day, nearly 2 million per year, and only takes travelers.

"I still find outrageous keep the data occupancy spoken, unless the UCAM is willing to put money to sustain or usefulness renegotiate spreading to other locations if technical reports guarantee it."

Other needs

Concerning the extension of the tram to the neighborhood of El Carmen, the spokesman and socialist candidate shown equally convincing.

"These two kilometers tram will cost us another 5 million euros we have to add to the 11 M € already paid for the tram", said Lopez.

In this sense he reiterated that "this enlargement is not a priority for either the city of Murcia or for the neighborhood of El Carmen, which you need is that the tracks are soterren, more parking and facilities of a public nature and is recover certain areas of heavily degraded neighborhood.

Nor is it a priority need has insisted Lopez copayments for supporting citizens in home help, telecare, which do not have canteens in holiday peridoso, nor have policies that generate employment.

And what about the socialist candidate stressed public transport, expensive, discriminatory, with insufficient frequencies, tardiness.

"A public transport does not reach all sites, but how to explain that there is no communication with the industrial west, where some 14,000 people work, these questions are yes and pressing need solutions now," concluded Lopez.
