The sociocultural Peña La Contraparada appointed honorary member and awarded its Gold Badge Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House, for "his murcianía and momentum to our traditions", as explained by its president, Patrick Boatman.
Chamber members thanked both received the award and, above all, their work constantly to "spread and extend" the Murcia culture.
The ceremony took place today in New Javalí where they have gathered more than one hundred members and friends of the rock, including the president of the Municipal Board of the hamlet, Alicia Sanchez and Councilwoman Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, whom the Councillor for Culture, Rafael Gomez joined.
After the fellowship meal and prior to the imposition logo Mayor, took place the farewell of the largest and child 2014 Queens Gambín Laura and Laura Garcia, respectively, and the imposition of bands to their successors, Marta González and Lourdes Rodriguez.
