The new Pavilion Valladolises consolidates the leading position of Murcia town dedicated to sport base (01/02/2015)

It was opened this morning by the Mayor and has received European funds to finance investment of 480,000 euros.

This is a new concept of sports facilities and multipurpose building since has a mobile stage to also host cultural events and holidays

The network of sports facilities still continued growth.

Opening today, the covered pavilion Valladolises helps to consolidate the leading position of Murcia among Spanish municipalities with more sports facilities of this type per capita.

The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, presided over the opening this morning in a ceremony also attended by the Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Antonio Bernal, the council of Campo de Murcia, Manuel Durán and Sports, Miguel Cascales and the president of the Municipal Board, Ascension Noguera, along with about 400 local residents who did not want to miss the event.

With this opening, the municipality currently has 40 covered pavilions, 29 of them in districts, of which opened today in Valladolises was the fourth along with the reconstructed Cagigal and raised in Lobosillo and IES Infante that has entered into service in the legislature.

The existence of these 40 facilities of this kind represents a clear example of the investments made by the city in recent years and the impetus given to basic sport.

The construction of the pavilion Valladolises, while responding to a historical demand of this hamlet, also end with the obligation to travel to other locations for sport.

Moreover, the design chosen this time represents a paradigm shift, as will combine its use as a sports facility with the celebration of cultural events or festive type.

For this, a mobile stage prepared for all kinds of events that celebrate the hamlet.

Call EAFRD

The pavilion, sponsored by the departments of Campo de Murcia and European Programmes, has required an investment of 480,000 euros, funded from the 2011 call EAFRD, managed by the Local Action Group CAPODER, whose scope includes the districts Bath & Beggar, Carrascoy-La Murta, Corvera, Lobosillo and Valladolises-Lo Jurado.

The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) has helped improve the management of rural areas and the quality of life and diversification of activities in rural areas included in the scope.
