The festival Murcia Open Design (MMOD) begins today with four intense days dedicated to design, art and fashion.
This time they participate in parades, workshops and conferences figures the likes of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Juan Vidal, Ana Locking, Xabi Paula Reyes and Murcia del Vas, Leonor Pando and Peter and the Wolf.
MMOD is a clear commitment to free multidiciplinares projects to enhance the culture of art, fashion and design giving the city an added value in the field of cultural tourism, bringing art to the street and driving the creations of young artists from Murcia .
The festival is organized by the Foundation Murcia XXI, design and fashion, the Department of Tourism of Murcia, led by Pilar Martínez and the artistic and technical direction of Vanessa Hernandez Verdú.
The shows will be held on Saturday, November 29, in the Almudí Palace, with collections of Juan Vidal, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Xabi Reyes, and Paula del Vas, Leonor and Pedro Lobo Pando Murcia.
There will also be space for young talent emerging from national best fashion schools;
and five participants in the contest Ikea show costumes made with Sweden's textile designers.
On Sunday, November 30, there is provided a parade through the city streets with trendy shops associated with Murcia Center, in collaboration with the Department of Employment, Trade and Enterprise.
In this issue more than $ 3,000 in prizes will be awarded in the competitions 'ON' destined to fashion;
'Emerging Design', for graphic design, and a third contest 'Object Design MMOD IKEA' to artists, architects, designers and creative studios in general.
The award of Emerging Design graphic design will be held tonight at 22 pm in Parliament Bar, during the celebration of MMOD Nightlife Opening Party with DJ Pascal Moscheni, who has collaborated with brands like Dior, Marc Cartirer or Jacob.
As in previous, vartistas editions intervene with their works in facades and squares Murcia becoming a showcase of urban art outdoors.
It will be the November 27 to January 7.
Furthermore, in Santo Domingo, until November 30, you will see the papers to contest Ikea object with the model of Ivar chair.
The conference will be held at the Cultural Hall of Cajamurcia Foundation, today and tomorrow, and participate directors Neo2 magazine, the designer Ana Locking, Daniel Levé, art director of Mango On Line;
photographer Gorka Postigo, designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Tomás Peña, Juan Vidal and graphic designer Javier Jaen.
On the Molinos del Rio Stables space three lectures on independent publications will be given.
They have also organized free workshops from November 27 to December 7 in the Regional Library, related and event styling and fashion communication.
Two exhibitions will complete the program MMOD.
This is the exhibition organized at the T20 Gallery, with a selection of artists who exhibit entitled 'Dare always never do what you need', which will run from November 28 to January 7, 2015. In the Enfatika room will sign 20-year life of the magazine Neo2, entitled 'Neo2 open files', which opens today until January 7, 2015.
