The Murcia Three Cultures International Festival joins the V Centenary of St. Teresa of Jesus (31/10/2014)

Murcia Three Cultures Festival, which in 2015 celebrates its sixteenth edition, has not wanted to miss the opportunity to join in acts of Remembrance V Centenario religious, one of the most important Spanish mystic.

The music, and with it, all styles and trends, has been, year after year, one of the most widespread forms of artistic expression at the festival.

For this event, Murcia theater will present a concert of his own creation where flamenco, a style that has brought numerous premieres at the festival, is the language chosen to show the poetic work of the Holy.

'Way of Perfection', 'Purple' and other mystical religious texts become part of the memorial concert.

The adaptation work has been commissioned Antonio Parra, flamencologist, which, along with the voice of Curro Piñana, address the full range of styles and flamenco styles, creating a milestone in the history of this genre.

The Festival Murcia Three Cultures, which will be brought forward, to be held in May, many of the central events of the centenary, will mark, with the adaptation of his poems jondo sticks and stellar presentation of a concert programming, a milestone in the flamenco history and spiritual music in general, while contributing to the essence that it did emerge in his day.

Work on religious poetry will address a wide range of flamenco styles, from mining songs that Piñana dominates like no family tradition to the solea, tangos, tonás, the fandango and even a new song, say free, without following strictly no known flamenco melody, that will create for the occasion.

There will also be a poetic song written by Antonio Parra, who evoke the figures of Santa Teresa and John of the Cross, also created for the recital.

At the concert, along with Curro Piñana, will speak her brother, the great guitarist Carlos Piñana, and teacher Miguel Angel Orengo on percussion.

The singer has recognized this project as "a new challenge".

Says he is very excited: "It is a beautiful opportunity to serve the texts of St. Teresa my voice and feeling.

After its premiere, the show will be offered to the Foundation of V Centenario, responsible for raising awareness of the work, life, teaching and thought of St. Teresa of Jesus, to be included in the events taking place in throughout Spain during 2015.

The concert will premiere May 13 at the Royal Courtyard Santa Clara.
