The Socialist Group asks why mulberry logging in Plaza Romea (20/10/2014)

The Socialist councilor, Susana Hernandez has sought explanations today by logging five mulberry trees in the Plaza Romea.

The mayor, who has come there alerted by locals, has seen how mulberry trees in front of the Palacio González Campuzano has been cut.

The mayor has issued a statement to the council within Adela Martinez-Cache requesting the required technical reports in which this logging detailing the status of each is based.

"Reports that in case there should have been made public before taking the measure as requiring come across this term," said the Socialist councilor

Also, Hernandez asked whether it would be better to revise downwards the maintenance contract of trees rather than upward as the trees that require more work are being changed, in the best case, by 'arbolichos' newly planted not just require care.

"It is clear that the maintenance of the trees in the town is not right," the PSOE mayor who said that only one week we reported neglect and lack of care of the trees in the districts where we pay more STV 8 million euros a year. "
