The Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin;

and Councilwoman Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, have met with the responsible of the new association + Female Murcia, formed by women with physical and organic to defend and support the rights of women with disabilities and achieve their social, cultural and professional integration.

Pelegrin and Barquero have reported initiatives that triggers the City relating to equality, social services, women, disability and prevention of domestic violence.

The association, based in Plaza Bohemia, aims to promote the personal autonomy of women with physical and organic, encourage the participation of this group in public and private management bodies where decisions that affect their lives are adopted achieve measures that granticen full integration into the education system, collaborate with organizations and social and health institutions to improve their services, promote participation in sport and promote associations and volunteerism.
