The URBAN district plan Espinardo Holy Spirit continues to work in their educational and training project (23/07/2014)

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this morning to service support training and educational processes with various disadvantaged groups, for a period of two years.

This is another action of the Holy Spirit URBAN project, which aims to promote the development of the neighborhood by taking culture as the key factor that drives urban development.

Improvements in education are intended to revitalize the social, educational and cultural environment and include support and tutoring and special support and monitoring gifted children to the arts;

a comprehensive program of artistic training in dance, theater and music, with the aim of increasing the attractiveness of education and expand the educational spectrum and publicize possibilities of professions related to the cultural sector.

In order to advance in the improvement of educational processes is proposed with this contract unite and organize the educational measures in the field of expanded education and non-formal methodology and expand the range of educational measures for the entire population, from new needs detected during the project.

The program consists of six distinct activities, but interconnected in all developed dependencies CEIBAS housed.

These activities are:

- Morning Classroom.

Activity to ensure assistance to schools and school Salzillo ceiba La Milagrosa of school, in order to reduce absenteeism and promote the reconciliation of work and family life.

Includes breakfast and back support to the College.

- Workshop on Strengthening School.

This workshop requires completion of individual work plans and / or group in coordination with schools and teachers of students.

- Tutorials for gifted education for arts students.

The purpose of this activity is to perform a custom tracking a group of children, especially gifted in the arts, to facilitate the learning of arts education methodologies and facilitate their adaptation to regulated education.

- Involvement of families in the educational process of children.

This activity aims to raise the family of the importance of attendance of children at different educational processes (school and extracurricular activities).

- Support education beyond compulsory schooling.

Promote equal opportunities in the access, retention and promotion of people from the neighborhood to educational resources.

Includes support and educational support to official teachings: exam preparation ESO, for over 16 years;

completion of Initial Professional Qualification Programmes (PCPI) and high school.

Adult Continuing Education: Basic literacy for people who can not read and write.

- Educational Outings, to make known to students the cultural, natural and heritage diversity of the city and the region of Murcia;

enhance the critical appreciation of the immediate environment;

complete the training with a visit to facilities and educational and cultural activities;

encourage artistic understanding and critical appreciation of cultural products and heritage.

Six outputs to the city and 6 trips out of town will be conducted annually.
