UPyD Murcia claims the breakdown of sanctions imposed after the entry into force of the Ordinance against prostitution (23/07/2014)

As spokesman magenta training explains, "We believe that the fines have not gotten any deterrent effect, since almost all people are insolvent", so it will generate an "totally unproductive" administrative work, while causes " revictimization "of these people

The spokesman for Progress and Democracy Union in the city of Murcia, Juan Ruben Serna, requests the head of the Security Department, Nuria Fuentes, to deliver the data on the total of the penalties that have been imposed since the entry of the Ordinance against prostitution, and the total amount collected so far.

As the mayor of UPyD explains, "We believe that the fines have not gotten any deterrent effect, since almost all people are insolvent", so it will generate an "totally unproductive" administrative work, while causing a "victimization" of these people.

To Serna, "We are convinced that the police response is simply not enough," and at the same time must be accompanied by transverse and multidisciplinary actions as sexual education and equality, awareness and social intervention.

"The goal should be to enable options for personal and socio recovery to people who wish to leave prostitution."

Thus, magenta training also calls on the mayor Fuentes a review of the effect of the measures that have been put in place to combat prostitution in the town of Murcia while asked whether there had been monitoring the sanctioned individuals, or has made any report or study in conjunction with other councils on the status of such persons.

UPyD Murcia recalls his opposition "and the contradiction that is a text while penalizing people for their social situation are forced into prostitution, says he wants to fight sexual exploitation."

Furthermore, this regulation also includes the implementation of a Comprehensive Plan against Sexual Exploitation, as claimed in UPyD amendments referred to the popular group to support it.

In relation to this Comprehensive Plan, Serna Question is what stage processing, "if you were running the same".

Municipal Ordinance to combat prostitution in the town of Murcia came into force in November 2013, specifying "what are the rules of conduct that are prohibited and the punishment for for disturbing or injuring peaceful coexistence."
