The National Police arrested the perpetrators of various wiring thefts and owners of a junkyard for receiving (14/08/2013)

They attributed the theft of 100 pounds of copper wiring.

National Police agents have arrested six people in Murcia, as suspected of several robberies and receiving electric wiring intended for public lighting in different parts of the parish Murcia del Palmar.

This police operation is part of the operational plan that the National Police has been developing in waste treatment centers and wholesale scrap and waste products, by conducting comprehensive inspections and controls all movements materials that manage these centers, as well as the fight against metal theft.

The events took place from the 27th of last month, when one of the accused was required by a National Police patrol in a street in the neighborhood of the Rosales when carrying large amount of copper wiring, when the suspect flight began moments after being retained.

Once verified by the officers, the illicit origin of the cable, arrested him, and seized it.

Following an investigation initiated agents to clarify the facts and determine the origin of the seized material, leading after the first investigation to a junkyard in the city, where they found he had stored some amount of copper of dubious origin.

As a result of the efforts carried the researchers identified two involved more who had participated in the fraudulent sale of stolen copper wire, proceeding to his arrest on August 1.

With the investigation concluded the agents now ascertained that the detainees had stolen up to 100 kilograms of copper from the street lighting in the hamlet areas of Palmar, which were sold in a junkyard, whose owners, father and son, and an employee , were arrested.

Detainees, carriers of goods, they are charged with a crime of burglary and those responsible for the crime of receiving stolen junkyard.

All suspects are Spanish nationals and residents of the Capital and became available for trial courts Murcia Guard.

The operation was conducted by officers from the Police Headquarters of the Region of Murcia, Commissioner of District of El Carmen.
